What is MoveBig?

MoveBig is a mobile application for iOS & android devices. MoveBig is quickly becoming the one stop shop for all your moving, packing, and furniture assembly needs. The app instantly connects you with local moving professionals, local moving truck rentals, and different moving insurance coverage options to make your moving experience, top notch every time. Request MobiMovers and get any sized home, apartment, or storage unit moved for you, with a push of a button.

How much does a MoveBig cost?

Get a free hourly estimate on the app. The final price will depend on the hourly wage of each selected mover, the miles driven between pick-up / drop-off locations ( No Charge for Drive-Time) and the time spent loading / unloading the rental truck, or storage unit.

How many items can I include in a single Move?

A Move is whatever can fit into any size Pickup Truck, Cargo Van or Moving Truck Rentals (Our Example: We’ve had up to 10 guys on one job at a time, with 4 separate 26′ U-haul trucks filled). If you have it, we will move it!

What hours does MoveBig operate?

Movers are online Monday – Friday from 8am to 8pm and Saturday – Sunday from 9am to 8pm. You can request MobiMovers ahead of time by scheduling your Move in our MoveBig app.

Will the movers bring my items inside?

Yes of course! The movers will load and unload your items right where you want them placed – stairs or not! Just let your movers know ahead of time so they can bring the proper equipment.

Will the movers protect my items?

All of the movers are recommended to have their own moving blankets and other essential moving materials to ensure the safety of your items. Please report movers that show up without the proper moving supplies to support@movebig.co

How do I change the time or date of my Move, Assembly, or Pack job?

You can edit your Job by going to your Scheduled Job in the MoveBig app. We allow you to update whatever part of the Job that needs to be changed up to 48 hours before the Job has been started. After 48 hours, additional charges may apply, see our cancellation policy for more details.

When will my MobiMovers arrive?

Your MobiMovers will arrive within the window you choose in the app. You can schedule up to 30 days in advance or request on-demand to arrive as soon as 2 hours depending on availability. Check your MoveBig app for available movers in your area.

Do I need to wait at the pickup location?

Yes, actually it’s best to stick with your movers as much as possible be sure your items get placed exactly where you like them.

Can I have multiple pickups in a single Move? (Example: Can I get one truck for 3 friends, and have the movers load the truck with all of our items from all three different locations?)

We currently can assist with every size pickup. If we can fit it, we can move it! Help your movers out by condensing all of your belongings to help make the loading process better

Can my MobiMovers help me move items within my home or from the street to my home?

Yes we can! When you request just set the pickup and drop off as the same locations and our movers will arrive to move whatever you need. Or you can always let your moving crew know the details, using the Private Chat feature in the MoveBig app.

Can MoveBig take items to the city dump for me?

At this time, we do not have a way to handle this extra service. If you need things moved to the dump, clarify your needs in the job post in the additional job details section of your job post.

What area does MoveBig cover?

We are currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley, and San Luis Obispo County. You can see all the cities we service here.

How do I pay for my Move?

All payments are done within the app. We verify your credit card after you request your MobiMovers, and payment is only processed after the job is fulfill the request. None of your information stays with us, and all transactions are safety guarded by our processing company.

When do I pay for my Move?

Once you’re Move is complete, you’ll be prompted to leave a review. After you leave a review on your crew and we’ll then charge your credit card that’s associated with your account. Reviews help future customers pick the best suitable movers for their job.

Do I get charged if I cancel my Move?

Absolutely! Everyone’s time is valuable, so we’d like to promote respect for everyones time. Charges are applied for jobs scheduled 48 hours in advance, and for same day moves. See our Cancellation Policy for more details.

I don’t see scheduling in my app, how do I schedule my Move?

Scheduling will be on the Move Details page, after you’ve entered your number of Mover needed.

How do I know my scheduled Move is on the way?

You’ll receive a confirmation text as soon as you schedule your Move!

May I schedule multiple Moves in advance?

Of course! Once you schedule your first Move, you can go ahead and schedule as many that meet your needs.

Can I tip my movers?

Tipping is entirely optional, but if you want to reward your movers for a job well done you’ll have the opportunity to do so right after your Move is completed. Cash tips are excepted.

How do I speak with my mover(s)?

Once selected, MobiMovers are assigned to your Move you have the ability to text or call the movers directly about any details or logistics. If you need to work out any details ahead of time, please use the Private Chat feature in the MoveBig app.

Will MobiMovers disassemble/assemble my items?

A mover is only required to physically move the item from point A to point B. Movers expect the items to be appropriately packed beforehand. See a Packing Guide for more details on how to be properly packed.

Do my MobiMovers move refrigerators, washer & dryers, and other similar appliances?

Yes, we do! But first, they have to be completed unplugged, and removed from the wall / water hoses.

I need a piano moved, can MoveBig help with this?

Unfortunately, at this time we are not equipped to move such a delicate piece of furniture.

Can I ride in the same vehicle as my stuff?

Currently we do not authorize ride-sharing on our system.

My building requires moving companies to provide a Certificate of Insurance for a specified amount. Can MoveBig work with it?
